A market report projects global smartphone production will decrease as a lack of "breakthrough" features triggers weaker consumer demand this year.<br />According to market analyst TrendForce, the smartphone production volume will reach 1-point-41 billion units in 2019, down 3-point-3 percent from the previous year.<br />And if the U.S.-China trade conflict worsens, the overall production may be down as much as 5 percent.<br />The report said major manufacturers including Samsung and Apple,... are expected to cut production this year.<br />It added Samsung will take some 20 percent of the global smartphone market share, followed by Huawei and Apple. <br />
